Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Anyone good at writing who can help me get my story off to a good start?

I like writing stories, but I always feel like my beginnings are awkward. Like, I have to introduce characters and the setting, but it doesn’t ever feel natural to me. As soon as I get past that part, the story flows fine. Please let me know how this beginning sounds to you and give me any suggestions you can think of. Thanks!

“That’s a really cool dream, Dan, but I don’t think you want me to interpret it,” he says with a smirk.
I can feel the blood drain from my face. Maybe it was a mistake to tell everyone that dream. I don’t really have much faith in dream interpretation. It had always seemed to be kind of a pseudoscience. It’s much more logical that dreams are just a random compilation of things our mind picks up throughout the day. Sure, if you’re stressed out about something it can come up in a dream. We’ve all had that dream where we’re taking a test the day before a big exam. That’s no coincidence. But the idea that every little thing represents some thought or secret desire seemed a bit far-fetched. I mean, people can walk out of a psychic reading absolutely believing this person used some psychic power to tell them things about themselves. Dream interpretation isn’t much different.
However, I had to admit Andy’s interpretation of Brad’s dream had been pretty convincing. And he didn’t hold back. He got into some pretty deep issues. Poor Brad. I think any man would have to feel a bit ashamed having someone tell them in a room full of people that the girl splitting wood in his dream symbolized his feelings of immasculation at the hands of his girlfriend. The thing is, though, he’s right. At least about Brad’s relationship anyway. He’s totally whipped.
Anyway, they all begged to hear my dream and I finally caved. It was a weird one. Brad was sitting to my right on the couch, and Lizzie to my left. Tara sat cross-legged in a chair pushed up against the other wall not far from Lizzie. Andy sat on the floor across from me on the other side of the coffee table. Erin was in a small legless chair to the right of the coffee table facing inward toward the group. We had gotten together in Lizzie and Tara’s apartment to watch movies, but ended up just drinking sangria and talking. Then, Andy started with the dream interpretations. I really don’t know him at all, but he seems fine. He’s Lizzie’s brother, and I’ve met him at her house a few times. Now, I feel intimidated by him. He’s not a bad-looking guy, actually. His red hair swoops down in the front diagonally toward his right eye. He looks down demurely at his large wine glass of sangria, then shoots me a piercing glance with his blue eyes. They seemed to be saying, “I know it. I know your secret.”
“That’s a really cool dream, Dan, but I don’t think you want me to interpret it.” I look away to my left. Lizzie and Tara are loving this. They cannot contain their grins, and Lizzie says, “Yeah, yeah. You have to.” I think it’d probably be worse to make a big deal out of everything and refuse to have my dream interpreted. I mean, I chose to tell it after all. Why did I choose to tell it?
“It’s fine. I don’t care,” I say, putting on a smile. Lizzie and Tara lean in excitedly. I can’t really tell if Erin is uncomfortable or just disinterested. She’s focusing on her sangria, using a chopstick to try to stab a strawberry floating in the glass. Brad, who was still putting on a brave face after having Andy tell him about his girlfriend symbolically chopping away at his b0ner, was just glad to have the attention focused on something else.
“Alright,” Andy says, “but if you ever feel uncomfortable or you just think this is stupid, just tell me to stop at any time.” Tone of voice is really kind, and I realize that he’s not really smirking. He’s smiling because he wants me to feel comfortable. “Get ready,” he says. “Here we go.”

This is a really good read, though there are two bits where I get a little lost:
“Brad was sitting to my right on the couch, and Lizzie to my left. Tara sat cross-legged in a chair pushed up against the other wall not far from Lizzie. Andy sat on the floor across from me on the other side of the coffee table. Erin was in a small legless chair to the right of the coffee table facing inward toward the group. We had gotten together in Lizzie and Tara’s apartment to watch movies, but ended up just drinking sangria and talking.” – It just seems like you’ve tried to describe the whole scene at once; you could describe where some people are at first, and then describe where the others are in the room when they speak.
It also gets a bit almost side tracked after this; I get confused with who’s dream it was to begin with, and only after I read and re-read over the last lines I understood that (I think) you meant that Andy was going to interpret Dan’s dream; that he has told everyone but has left out for the reader.
Does that make sense or have I confused you?

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Are there any established psychic, clairvoyant and tarot companies in the UK?

Just doing some research – are there any businesses/companies/organisations in the UK who work in the spiritual and holistic sectors – i.e. tarot readers, psychics, clairvoyants, etc?

um, normally we wouldn’t ask these questions in this particular category…

But seeing as you’ve done so, i’ll tell you what you should be doing- reading the Bible and becoming a Christian. Your “fate” is sealed once and for all. If you don’t believe in God, you cannot and will not have any thought or desire to live a life pleasing to God by eliminating sin in your life and loving your neighbor the way God loves you. This, at the end of the world, will land you up in hell- you will be eternally burned in fire and the most horrible thing is that you’ll never die- you’ll just feel the pain. And that is the worst punishment one could experiece. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
But on the other hand, if you believe in God (pray for the power of the Holy Spirit) it will become natural that you desire to please Him by eliminating sin and by praising Him in everything you do. This will, at the end of time, land you up in heaven where every last bit of sin and it’s effects (eg. illness, mental impairments, ect) will be totally eliminated.
