Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Do you think psychics are real if they were accurate of a guys personality?

She asks me if this guy has a criminal record, and I said yes! She say’s to me.. he is selfish, is just trying to use you for sex.

She say’s he’s the controlling type and has a violent personality, and is selfish. Only cares about his need and doesn’t care how he hurts you or the pain you’re going through.

Well I think she’s accurate, do you still believe psychics aren’t real?

Answer by handle_with_care
Your questions very rarely make sense to me.

Answer by Kevin

“There is a sucker born every minute” Barnum.

“There will always be religions and astrologers.” Carl Sagan

These two lines must apply to you.

Answer by Nightwind
If she was really psychic, why would she need to ask you things like whether or not he has a criminal record?

She was doing a cold read of you. She probably also watched your reactions as she reveals facts one by one. Since she was on the right trail, she kept going.

Which doesn’t prove that psychics aren’t real. However, I highly doubt this one is.

Is your boyfriend black?

Answer by Cbux
Well it depends. She seems like she might be legit, but like someone else said, she also might be making shots in the dark and judging by your reactions decided what to say next. Decide how much she got wrong. If its one or two out of a bunch of questions shes probably real. but if she said a lot wrong at the beginning or got anywhere near more then 30% wrong shes probably a fake.

Spirit mediums and psychics (and yes Tarot readers are also included) should be avoided at ALL COST. We know this because we have the Divine education of Jehovah Gods word, The Bible. So with all this in mind let us take a look at how our Heavenly Father looks on and views this weighty matter.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, 20 idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21 envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.

31 “‘Do not turn yourselves to the spirit mediums, and do not consult professional foretellers of events, so as to become unclean by them. I am Jehovah YOUR God.

10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.

So as you can see from the Scriptures above, conducting or taking part in this practice is a detestable thing to Jehovah God (PSALMS 83:18) and should be avoided.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Can psychic people give you accurate information about your life? Can the information be believed?

I recently had 5 readings from 5 different people that say they have the gift to see things. All of the readings basically were the same!! Can it be believable, especially if these people do not know each other.

Answer by learningnewthings
if you read all the horoscopes in the paper they will all apply to you and everyone else at least in part that is what psychics do its general , if will fit all ,plus they tell you what you want to hear

Answer by Deavious999
Hell no. You can’t believe in these things. It’s all a marketing skam.

Answer by IncognitoPlatypus
Of course not. It’s a marketing scam, and whichever physhic’s you go to, their readings for you will probably be the same.

Answer by R
“Psychics” ask general questions, then read your body language and facial expressions as you listen to the question and give an answer. They use the information you provide, both verbal and non-verbal to hone the questions and answers. Nothing more or less – guess you could say they are just really good at “reading” people.

Not to say they do not provide insights, just that it is not from “out there” but from your own mind, as deciphered by them. Some also bug their waiting areas or, if you provide an I.D., their assistant runs it for info while you are waiting to be seen.

Not the sort of scenario I would want to have driving my major life decisions.

Well i had a reading done about 2001-2002 and i can not believe what has been so true/real from it. Some things haven’t yet been answers and that’s because they were about having babies and i’m not pregnant yet. But when we decide to have kids it will be very interesting to see if she read me right. Something spooky happened when i had my reading tho. In 1999 one of my good friends James from a close group of mine commited suicide. So the day i had my reading (mind you the lady doesnt no you from a bar of soap) i walked into the room where it was held Isaid nothing to her at all except hello and she said oh you’ve brought someone with you today… i looked around and said what? she said you brought James with you today, well did i break down and cry. All i kept thinking was how the hell does she no that? How does she no him? Oh my gosh!So she continued on having quiet moments here and there obvislouly they were communicating to each other and told me he was telling her how he commited suicide, where he was when he did it, etc etc. I couldnt stop cry then it was so comforting to then hear her say ‘he is your guardian angel, he will be with you for life.’ It’s so nice to no his there whenever so i can talk to him even if i’m in public i just talk to him thru my mind. Oh i feel so peaceful now just telling you that. So back to your answer i guess you believe what you wanna believe. I have heard and also read that there are bad one’s out there but my guess is if you have had 5 different reading and they all say basically the same things open your mind abit and see what happens. Your the only one to be the judge.

Answer by digendra
At I would like say that all human beings are pychic by nature, which is only the matter of degree. To believe or not believe is not the objective thing, it is rather a subjective things so that what you believe, I may not believe. If you say me, I cannot believe what you want to say.

Answer by Maganda
Yes, because it also happened to me. But I never developed or used such sixth sense. Because I am afraid what would happen next!

Why not open your own psychic connection.

I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense. The Psychic Sense.

The Heyókȟa symbolize and portray many aspects of the sacred, the Wakȟáŋ. Their satire presents important questions by fooling around. They ask difficult questions, and say things others are too afraid to say. By reading between the lines, the audience is able to think about things not usually thought about, or to look at things in a different way.

Principally, the Heyókȟa functions both as a mirror and a teacher, using extreme behaviors to mirror others, thereby forcing them to examine their own doubts, fears, hatreds, and weaknesses. Heyókȟas also have the power to heal emotional pain; such power comes from the experience of shame—they sing of shameful events in their lives, beg for food, and live as clowns. They provoke laughter in distressing situations of despair and provoke fear and chaos when people feel complacent and overly secure, to keep them from taking themselves too seriously or believing they are more powerful than they are.
