Why cant we just live a life of sin, then make a conversion to Christiantiy on our deathbed?

Will we still go to heaven?

Hey, if murderers and rapists can become “born again christians” in jail, then why cant i?…just right at the end of my debauched life? is there a time limit on when you have to convert before you get to heaven?

Who said you will have a second chance? What if you suddenly die in a car crash or from a heart attack?

Answer by Tina
You can.

Answer by Shlomo
You confuse conversion and salvation

Answer by Tina
Sorry but deathbed repentance is too late and there is no second chance as we read in the KJV bible. What ever you sinned here on earth, you will take the power of it through out eternity.

Answer by David
Because you can’t plan to repent. Repentance is far deeper then a few words spoken, repentance requires true change, and at that point it may be too late.
It is not by good works that people get into heaven, if that were the case then it would not be accessible to anyone, rather repentance which requires true change is necessary.
You have got it wrong.

Answer by wandering warrior
Only problem is, no one knows the exact moment they will die!

Answer by anuragsrawat
Now or never. Be true to yourself, be honest. If you really believe that you need to go to God, then go now. Don’t use mind, listen to the heart.

Answer by dood
Ahhh looks like you have god ( well the priests who made up and speak for god ) on a technicality. According to the mystic rulebook … yes you’re good to go. Provided you are actually sincerely sorry for the things you’ve done.

Im a die hard atheist … and hope I have enough of my senses about me in the end. To tell god to kiss my butt one last time. Just as a matter of general principle.

Answer by Jeff S
First, God knows your heart – there is no work around

Second, if your going to make an 11th hour confession you better make sure you don’t go out on the 10th……..

Answer by wha happened
It doesn’t work that way and don’t let anyone convince you that it does.

Speaking as a non-Christian, the only experience I have is through Theology and Philosophy GCSE coursework, but from what I know, I think that doing what your saying would be repenting for the sole purpose of having a great afterlife, and I think that (for Christians) God knows more to you than your actions – not exactly that ‘God can read your mind’ it’s just that I think He will know what your intentions were.
Hope I helped!

Is a life of sin all that great??

God is not saying you should not have pleasures. He is saying you should have your pleasures the right way!

Answer by Luci 2 Nura
you seem to think you get a notice in the mail before God tells the angel of death to take your soul out of your body! Are you sure you want to risk it since no one knows when they will die?

Answer by sectumsempra_2006
you can. But u’ve gotta make sure u dont die before that due to some unforeseen circumstances like accidents or something..

Answer by Anthony
I don’t know if I would bother converting last minute. If you were bad enough, I don’t think then is the time to start making enemies.

Answer by Tatiana
Do you know how a lot of people talk about the world coming to an end? (How the entertainment industry depicts such an end is far fetched in relation to what the Bible says).

However, the fact that this world, not the literal earth, but the destruction of all that is bad in the world will be destroyed is going to occur in Gods due time. What is noted about about this destruction at Matthew 24:36 is, “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son (Jesus Christ), but only the Father (Jehovah God).”
So who is to say that you die before this time? If you are in the world manifesting acts that God disapproves of your acts can cause to be deemed part of what is bad.
In addition you have knowledge of your acts as to what is right & wrong in terms of your living style. You have an opportunity to seek greater truth to make living a clean life a great benefit to you. There is a difference between those who have faith& are knowledgeable of God and his will and deliberately live a life that goes against Him, and those who have no faith or know nothing of God and live a life that God disapproves. From such a question you already manifest faith in him to even develop such a question.

Take for example your best friend, how does she prove herself to be your best friend if she daily shows otherwise by betraying you? Will you be convinced by her actions that she cares for you or even desires to be your friend? Likewise how do you prove yourself a friend to God by your actions?

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Why can I only connect with Friends and recent players on Xbox Live?

Well I have a Gold membership and I wanted to play Halo ODST or Halo 3 mystic that it came with but on either i can only play with friends or recent players. I have good connection. I want to know how to be able to play with random people so I can get games going faster.

Answer by dragonwings210
I think Halo 3: ODST doesn’t have a matchmaking system so you have to invite people or join someone’s game

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : What are some of the nicest/safest towns to live in near Ledyard, CT?

Ledyard is near Norwich. I have a job in Ledyard and I want to live close to the job in a nice town. I know Ledyard is a nice town but I haven’t found any good studio or 1 bedroom places there.

Answer by Rob L
Well how far away do you mind living? Mystic (about a 20 min drive) is a wonderful town on the sound, that is both beautiful and semi-close. Also, Mystic has great place to eat and a few things to do (such as the port, and the aquarium). The only downside is that it can be pricey.

Mystic – The Life

Written by HEYOKA

The Heyókȟa symbolize and portray many aspects of the sacred, the Wakȟáŋ. Their satire presents important questions by fooling around. They ask difficult questions, and say things others are too afraid to say. By reading between the lines, the audience is able to think about things not usually thought about, or to look at things in a different way.

Principally, the Heyókȟa functions both as a mirror and a teacher, using extreme behaviors to mirror others, thereby forcing them to examine their own doubts, fears, hatreds, and weaknesses. Heyókȟas also have the power to heal emotional pain; such power comes from the experience of shame—they sing of shameful events in their lives, beg for food, and live as clowns. They provoke laughter in distressing situations of despair and provoke fear and chaos when people feel complacent and overly secure, to keep them from taking themselves too seriously or believing they are more powerful than they are.
